This course is exclusively designed to train both teaching experience and non-teaching experience teacher trainees who are willing to become professional teachers of English in Kindergarten Class, and Young Learner and Adult Class in a range of classroom setting in English such as English as a Second Language (ESL), English as a Foreign Language (EFL), English for Academic Purposes (EAP) and English for Specific Purposes (ESP). It is determined to offer the teacher trainees with comprehensive theoretical and practical knowledge of English Language Teaching such as General Concept of teaching, Instruction in ELT, Teaching Language Skills and Classroom Management, Language Assessment and Testing, Lesson Planning, Approach and Methods in ELT, Educational Technology in the Classroom and Teaching Practicum. These modules will equip the teacher trainees with knowledge for practice and knowledge in practice which are the fundamental assets for them to become an effective teacher in the aforementioned contexts.
